Tell them you want to spend time with them and just enjoy their company. The getaway doesn’t have to be to an exotic location, you can go to a bed and breakfast in a nearby city or spend the weekend at a nice hotel.

When you’re alone together, tell your ex the important things you’ve always loved about them. Again, don’t mention the argument. Instead, focus on appreciating them. When people feel loved, they let down their guard. Don’t be surprised if they bring up the argument and want to work though the issue or if you end up making up faster than you thought was possible.
